SWINDON pop star Billie Piper joined a march in London in protest at planned EU legislation to ban high dosage vitamin supplements.
Around 2,500 people joined the march, on Sunday, supporting a campaign to stop further laws being passed which will classify certain supplements as drugs within Europe.
The Food Supplements Directive, already passed by the EU, will effectively ban many high dose vitamins and supplements throughout Europe by 2005.
The march, organised by the Health Freedom Movement, started in Hyde Park and ended in Trafalgar Square with a rally, music and speeches.
Billie, the former Bradon Forest pupil who is married to DJ Chris Evans, turns 21 in September.
She topped the charts at the age of 15 with her single Because We Want To - breaking the record for the youngest ever chart-topping female star. She is now set to make her acting debut in the British Film The Calcium Kid.
