AT just 19-years-old, Swindon woman Claire Carter has seen more horror and strife than most people who have lived three or even four times that long.

Jailed for life for setting fire to her flat while in a suicidal depression, she has had that term converted to a three-year community rehabilitation order with psychiatric treatment. Now she intends to repair her life, and wishes to further her education.

It would be a churlish person indeed who did not wish her the best of luck and the brightest of futures.
