SHOT-putter Kieren Kelly added a gold medal at the English Schools Track and Field Championships to his impressive list of achievements this summer.
The youngster threw 15.64m to take first place at the event staged at Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium.
Sara Ponsford just missed out on gaining an England vest when she had to settle for bronze in the Intermediate girls' 3,000m with a time of 10:09.54. Fellow IIF Group member Sarah Tedd was 11th in the same race.
Jess Weir finished ninth in the senior girls' shot putt.
