A NEW partnership has been set up between six major landlords in west Wiltshire to secure development of more affordable housing.
West Wiltshire District Council has sign the agreement with the six registered social landlords to make sure they have common goals to provide good quality, new affordable homes.
Councillor Michael Mounde, portfolio holder for housing, said: "There are currently about 5,300 properties in west Wiltshire being managed by the six registered social landlords within the partnership. However, there is still a real shortage of affordable housing in the district, and we will be working closely together to find ways of providing additional homes to benefit the whole community."
The six organisations are: The Guinness Trust Group, Sarsen Housing Association, Jephson Housing Association, Somer Community Housing Trust, Westlea Housing Association and West Wiltshire Housing Society.
