WILTSHIRE'S top two young bowlers, Neil Hope and Russell Francis, have been selected to represent England in the junior international series at Leamington Spa in September.

Hope, 24, from the Westlecot club and the 2002 English Bowling Association's Young Player of the Year, had an outstanding season last year, appearing in four national finals at Worthing.

An indoor junior international as well, he maintains his fine run in the England junior outdoor as this is the fourth successive season that he has been selected in the junior outdoor team.

Hope will lead on a rink to be skipped by Paul May (Hampshire). Dorset's Craig Shepherd and Ian Gallagher (Cumbria) complete the quartet.

Russell Francis (Spencer Moulton), finished as runner-up for the English under 25 championship title at Worthing.

He made his junior international debut last year and has been invited back for the 2003 junior series.

Francis has been selected as two on the rink skipped by David Bolt (Durham). Craig Docherty (Cumbria) and Robert Paxton (Devon) are the other members of the rink.

England will play Scotland and Wales on Saturday, September 13, and Ireland the following day.
