Ref. 25779-80THE new Dr Martens League season is only four days old but Cirencester Town already face injury problems ahead of the visit of Mangotsfield this evening.

Influential defender Darren Robison picked up a knee ligament injury after half an hour of Saturday's 1-0 win at Atherstone and is set to be sidelined for at least three weeks.

Winger Andy McCabe also suffered a knock in the game but is expected to prove his fitness by tonight.

Keith O'Halloran is unavailable as he is set to feature in Swindon Town's reserve team fixture at Plymouth.

Richard Kear, Gareth Hopkins and James Hughes will be pushing for places in the Ciren starting 11 against a Mangotsfield side expected to challenge for the Western Division title.

Centurions boss Brian Hughes said: "Nothing is won or lost at this stage of the season, but a win against Mangotsfield would give us a massive boost."

Meanwhile, Highworth manager John Fisher will keep faith in most of the side that were stunned by Bicester at the weekend.

Fisher will give his players a chance to redeem themselves in the Hellenic Premier Division clash against visiting Gloucester United tonight following the shock 1-0 loss on Saturday.

"You don't become a bad player over night," he said.

"I may make a couple of changes but I've spoken to the lads since the game and they agree they owe me a performance after that.

"Gloucester have improved since last season and aren't as bad a side as people make out but that suits us because the better the opposition, the better we seem to play."

Forward Neil Dix will make his Highworth debut, though he may have to make do with a second-half cameo from the bench.

Wootton Bassett will also be aiming to register their first points at home to Almondsbury.

John Magani will make his full debut leading the Bassett line and Rich Willis is also in contention to start.

Mark Simpkins and Danny Clayton face fitness tests.

Pewsey Vale, who were beaten 5-0 at Didcot on the opening day, host new boys Slimbridge.

In the Screwfix Direct Premier Division, Devizes Town look to build on their 1-0 win at Exmouth when Frome visit Nursteed Road.

Melksham Town were beaten 3-2 away to Paulton Rovers last night.
