PUPILS who missed out on the A-level grades that they wanted may feel like it is the end of the world. But not all is lost.

The qualification is available in engineering, technology, media and public administration.

Richard Watson-Heaton, a senior consultant, said: "While still looking for an intellectual challenge, some want a different learning style, which enables them to apply their knowledge directly and see the results."
