THE Swindon Games the borough's own version of the Paralympics takes place in less than two weeks.
Staged at the County Ground between 11am and 3pm on Sunday, August 31, the games are a special athletics meeting for those living across Swindon with disabilities.
The Swindon Games takes in all of the track and field events associated with the standard Olympics. The aim of the event is to allow people to have a go at a variety of athletic disciplines and there is still time to enter.
The games are free to enter and a selection of prizes, including the coveted Spirit of the Games Award given to the person who demonstrates a sporting attitude regardless of achievement, will be given to participants.
