TYCO Thermal Controls (UK) Ltd, of Faraday Road, Dorcan, is relocating to Washington, Tyne and Weir with the loss of eight jobs.
The company, which supplies trace-heating systems to the petro-chem, power generation and utilities markets, employs a 30-strong workforce.
Those employees not being made redundant will either transfer to Washington or work from home.
