Nigel Tripp insists he is not panicking despite seeing his side get off to a poor start to the season.

Melksham have now lost their opening two games but the Town manager believes he has seen enough positive signs to be confident about the season ahead.

They travel to Brislington tomorrow and Tripp sees no reason why they can't pick up their first win.

He said: "I have no major worries ahead of our next game especially after our performance against Paulton on Monday.

"We showed we can play well and now all we need to do is make sure there are no lapses in concentration."

Melksham will make a couple of changes to the side that narrowly lost to Paulton with Gordon Smith coming in to replace Tim Waylen in midfield and Gareth Evans replacing Dave Hunt in goal.

Tripp has faith in his players' abilities but admits it is time to start turning performances into results.

He said: "It is important that we start picking up points and the players are more than capable of that.

"If this was the middle of the season hardly anyone would notice we had lost two games in a row but because it is the start people try and make a big thing of it. I am not worried at the moment and am confident that in a month's time things will look very different."

The Melksham manager does not know a great deal about his opponents but believes they will be a physical side.

He said: "I expect Brislington to be a strong team but to be honest they don't worry me. We just need to perform like we did against Paulton without the bad defending."
