MALMESBURY Vics have been handed a massive boost ahead of their Hellenic League clash with Adderbury Park tomorrow after receiving a grant to install floodlights at the Flying Monk ground.
The Football Foundation have given the club £45,000 to pay for the project and work will begin next month.
The floodlights should be ready by the winter, allowing the Vics to host midweek games.
Chairman Paul Neale said: "This is great news. It will enable us install floodlights at The Flying Monk Ground, and meet the criteria for a natural progression within the system.
"It will also enable us to fulfil our ambition of a young side playing in Floodlit league, and bringing the youngsters in from the community through to senior level."
