One hundred children are descending on Lydiard Park today in an event dedicated to a celebration of play.
The activities are a culmination of the work done by the Swindon play scheme groups over the school holidays so far.
A huge range of activities has been planned for the children including games, a barbeque, bouncy castle, face painting, hair braiding and fun with a parachute.
One of the main attractions will be a range of traditional fairground games, created by the different play scheme groups.
There will be raffles and competitions with prizes donated by a number of local businesses.
Swindon play schemes are a free council-run service that is offered to children between five and 14 over summer.
The schemes runs from 11am to 3pm and are supervised by qualified play workers.
