Ref. 26617-97SEBASTIEN Ruster has enjoyed one night's accommodation at 'Chateau King' but the Town boss is hoping a way can be found to allow the French right winger to find a home in Swindon.

The 21-year-old former Cannes star, who spent pre-season with Leeds United, is back training with King's men and the manager would love the chance to add him to his squad.

Ruster impressed during a week's trial before flying back to France and King was keen to bring him back for a second look.

Whether a deal can be struck will depend on transfer window inquiries and the obligatory Football League approval.

Ruster's signing would not break the bank and King admits the youngster would be an asset.

He said: "I picked the lad up from the airport and he stayed with us at the house on Wednesday night.

"He then had the pleasure of driving into training with me.

"Talking of training, Jerel Ifil has already kicked him in so he's had his welcome to English football if you like.

"Seriously, it's a matter of seeing if we can get clearance to do something.

"It's a question of maybe looking at him carefully for a month. What's he's done up to now has been impressive.

"He is an out-and-out right winger with the ability to take defenders on that's something we haven't got at the club.

"I have great hopes for the boy. He's a great young talent and certainly the best triallist we've had here for some time."

While a contract for Ruster is one issue, King is well aware his own situation has yet to be resolved.

The Town boss was due to discuss the issue with chief executive Mark Devlin yesterday afternoon.

King's present deal runs out at Christmas and he is anxious to sign another one.

He said: "It's not a question of negotiating. I just want it drawn up and let's sort it out the sooner the better.

"I couldn't be happier here. I'm delighted with the way it's going.

"I've made no secret of the fact I think this is a wonderful football club which is heading in the right direction again."

King has no fresh injury worries going into tomorrow's match with Wrexham and although Steve Robinson is some way off a return, he was being put through his paces by physio Dick Mackey at Wanborough yesterday.

It looks as though it will be 'same again' when it comes to picking a side to slay the Red Dragons.

King said: "I have choices in terms of the system I decide to play but I don't think there'll be any surprises when it comes to team selection."
