Ref. 26777-44LEEDS boss Peter Reid believes Town are more than capable of leaving his Carling Cup hopes in tatters at Elland Road tonight.

Although Andy King's men will be without leading scorer Tommy Mooney for the match, the United boss has warned his Premiership stars to take Second Division Town lightly at their peril.

Speaking exclusively to the Evening Advertiser, he said: "My players know they will have to play well to beat Swindon Town. I've made them very aware of that.

"The job Andy King has done at the County Ground is fantastic second to none.

"He has put together some good players and I particularly like the lad Parkin up front.

"Andy will have his team well organised and I'm expecting a very difficult game.

"On the subject of players I'm certainly very impressed with how lively James Milner has looked in training with me this week.

"Spending time with Andy has been a good education for him."

While Reid can call on the likes of Alan Smith, Roque Junior and David Batty for the match the latter making his first start tonight for almost 18 months his Swindon counterpart has injury problems.

Town boss King said: "Tommy Mooney will definitely not play and Andy Gurney is still a bit sore."

The Town skipper is likely to play, probably as part of the back three, but Mooney's absence will hand a start in attack to Jon Stevenson.

David Duke is set to switch to the right with Grant Smith or Brian Howard slotting in on the left.

There will also be a change in goal with Bart Griemink replacing Rhys Evans.

King said: "I have two keepers of equal standing.

"Bart will have his chance to impress in the way that Rhys did in the game at Southend. Rhys will come back into the team for the Peterborough match on Saturday and then the onus is on him to perform. I wish I had such choices in all 11 positions."

Whatever the starting line-up tonight, King expects his players to give a good account of themselves.

He said: "I want all my players to aspire to play at a higher level and to test themselves against the best.

"Make no mistake, playing Leeds United on their own ground is a very, very difficult test and I just hope my players respond positively to it."
