A FURIOUS Andy King wants referee Paul Danson to take a long hard look at the video of last night's clash with Luton Town after the official dished out bookings like confetti and dismissed two players plus one manager!

The referee's handling of the match completely overshadowed a game which ended 2-2.

King and Luton boss Mike Newell were both seething about Mr Danson's display but refrained from getting personal, thereby avoiding the risk of an FA charge for speaking out of turn.

King said: "I cannot speak about Mr Danson's performance.

"Assessors are in the stands and they have to report on this. I will be speaking to the assessor who was at this game.

"Too many people, people with good footballing judgment, have said that was the worst professional performance they've seen from a referee. He has ruined a game of football, made it amazing, but also made it a lottery.

"Anyone could have won the match in the end. I couldn't tell you what was going to happen next.

"Stefani Miglioranzi's dismissal was the most bizarre sending-off I've ever seen in my life. It changed the whole pattern of the game.

"We then have a penalty which isn't a penalty, and a decision to have it re-taken after a good save.

"Results and major decisions by officials cost managers their jobs.

"If I'd been under pressure before this game on the back of a run of defeats, who knows, it could have cost me my job.

"Human beings make mistakes but there has to be some sensible discussion. The match didn't merit all those bookings the referee dished out.

"People should also remember there are repercussions.

"Miglioranzi will be out for a match now and others will have undeserved bookings which have pushed them over the suspension line.

"I don't have a large squad and having people out is a real problem.

"One referee has had the decency to own up to his mistakes and rescinded bookings for two of my players this week Andy Gurney and Bart Griemink and I'd like to know if this referee (Danson) is going to rescind anything because he needs to look at the video very carefully and admit his mistakes."

Town skipper Andy Gurney shared his manager's bewilderment after the 2-2 draw which took Town up to fourth in the table.

He said: "The penalty re-take situation is getting ridiculous and something is going to have to be done. Rhys Evans makes a great save and is penalised for it.

"It was just odd at times and I think both Stef and Sol Davis were unlucky to be sent off."
