A TIM Tasker double helped Biddestone to a 4-0 victory at home to ten-man Chiseldon Castrol on Saturday but the win was soured by a bad injury to star man Steve Healy.

Healy, Biddestone's top scorer for the last three seasons, was recklessly brought down by a Chiseldon defender when he was clear on goal after only 20 minutes.

The defender was dismissed but Healy seems certain to be out for a lengthy period after it was confirmed he had broken his ankle. Biddestone manager Gary Skidmore admits losing Healy will be a blow to his side.

He said: "I look at him as our main play-maker so we are going to miss him.

"I just hope that someone emerges to take his place in the next few matches.

"We do play as a team though and so hopefully his absence will not prove to costly."

Skidmore was not particularly impressed with his side's performance.

He said: "We didn't play very well and a 4-0 scoreline was very flattering.

"I am just relieved to have got the three points as that is the sign of a good team winning games when not playing that well."

To Chiseldon's credit they did not make it easy for Biddestone and the game was only wrapped up in the last ten minutes when the hosts scored three late goals.

The first half was a one-sided affair and the biggest surprise was that it took until the 40th minute for Biddestone to score. The goal came from a Chris Pitman header after a cross by Ollie McAninch.

In the second half some spirited defending and quick breaks by Chiseldon kept Biddestone on their toes until Tasker's brace and a fourth by McAninch in the last ten minutes.

Biddestone are due to entertain Warminster Town tomorrow.
