SWINDON CANCER APPEAL: Veteran fundraiser John Holmes is once again exercising his musical muscle for charity.
The businessman who runs John Holmes Music in Faringdon Road is staging his 22nd Christmas Show and all proceeds will go towards the Swindon Cancer Appeal.
Top of the bill at the show, which is being staged at the Blunsdon House Hotel on December 7, is Swindon cabaret artist Stuart Burnley who is currently starring alongside Des O'Connor at Great Yarmouth.
A singer who has sold more than 150,000 CDs, Mr Burnley is expected to perform songs from opera to popular ballads. Joining him will be the sax duo Night Ride.

The Swindon Cancer Appeal was launched by the Evening Advertiser in March and aims to raise £600,000 to provide two specialist Macmillan nurses for the Great Western Hospital. Earlier this month it passed the £200,000 mark.
