SWINDON Under 17s defeated their Stow counterparts, scoring three tries in the process.

The Greenbridge Road side fell behind to an early John Adams penalty but, from then on, never looked back.

They responded with a solo score from Ryan Dowling, converted by Scott Buccanan for a 7-3 half-time lead.

And in the second period, the forwards began to dominate set-plays and prop Adam James and flanker Ricky Chimirri both crossed.

n Cirencester were also in action against Stow, sending two sides for matches at A and B level.

The visitors' A team were the first in action, recording a 10-0 win.

Town started slowly, but strong defence from Will Seville and Jack Cook repelled their hosts and Will Mason popped over for a well-deserved score before half-time.

Gus Collyer-Bristow and skipper Oliver Newman were both held up over the line before the ball was fed to the blindside and Barnaby Morton squeezed over for the second.

Ciren's B team were also victorious, claiming a 20-5 triumph.

They took an early lead following an arcing run by Kieran Dixon, who outstripped the Stow defence.

Centre Steve Thomson then side-stepped over before Oscar Doyle added a third.

Substitutions followed but Freddie Corp crashed over before Doyle, who had switched sides, scored Stow's consolation.

CORSHAM'S Under 10s avenged their only defeat of the season when they edged their Trowbridge counterparts 20-10 at the Salisbury Festival.

Corsham's greater determination, coupled with Trowbridge's lack of match practice, proved the difference and they ran out winners courtesy of tries from Alex Twigg, Will Chivers, David Murdoch and Michael Clubbe.
