Corsham Centre tightened their grip at the top of Division Two of the Vanitec Computers sponsored Chippenham & District Sunday League with a classy first-half performance that saw off rivals North Bradley 5-1.

Simon Gray's brace, plus two strikes from Scott Lye and one by Luke Denham put 100 per centers Corsham in command. Danny Reeves headed a consolation.

North Star A remain well placed after a 6-0 drubbing of bottom-of-the-table Roadrunners, who have now lost 12 on the trot.

Mark Sharrett and Dale Smith netted two each with Ronnie Kallmeier and Rob Smith completing the half-dozen for the Calne-based team.

Despite having goalkeeper Ben Munns sent off, Christian Malford twice led Holt, who eventually ran out 5-3 victors.

Ian Ramsey, Shaun House and Chris Pitman were Malford's scorers with Tom Pang hitting four of Holt's goals and his brother Tyler the other.

Spencer Sports threw away a two-goal lead against Southwick Sports, for whom a Steve Ivin hat-trick earned a 3-3 draw.

Tim Knight (2, one pen) and Antony Jenkins were Spencer's scorers.

Blue Circle Saints were thrashed 7-0 by Steeple Ashton as Adam Sheppard, Lee Hayward, an own goal plus four late strikes from sub Marc Sheppard won it.

Biddestone Arms emerged 5-3 victors from a tense battle with Somerford, goals coming from Lee Scutter (2), Kevin Woolford (2) and Dean Fry.

Richard Chandler (2) and a Chris Yeo penalty gave Somerford hope.

PREMIER DIVISION

Sherston Town maintained their dominance with a 3-1 defeat of Terry's FC, as Richard Lester, Ed Wilkins and Andy Wicks made sure the sending-off of Lee Bevis for violent conduct made no difference. Andy Colebrook replied.

West Lavington moved into third place after thrashing bottom club Calne Town 7-1. Simon Drewitt led the way with four, Michael O'Donnell, Mark Roberts and Darren Thorpe also on target.

Westbury Rangers A boosted their hopes of finishing second with a 2-0 win at Hullavington, Marc Lanfear and Paul Smith netting.

Box Rovers ended a run of four games without a win as they beat All Cannings 3-0. Tom Smith (2) and Tim Jefferies were Rovers' scorers.

DIVISION ONE

Biddestone Social opened up a seven-point gap on second placed Maud Heath Sports following their narrow 1-0 victory over battling Chippenham Police, John O'Meara netting the only goal.

Chippenham Sports & Social Club and Semington Rovers drew 3-3 in a thriller.

Sports led three times, through Darren Whiston and two from James Pope, but Stuart Barber's brace and Stuart Roach earned a point.

Atworth United staged a remarkable fightback to draw 4-4 with The George Lacock.

Having led 1-0 through their groundsman Glen Young, Atworth found themselves 4-1 behind with seven minutes left as a hat-trick from Martin Symcox, plus Tim Culling's strike, put Lacock in control.

But a brace from Mike Hopkins and Gary Smith's leveller earned Atworth a deserved point.

Ryan Mortimer, Matty Hobbs and Alistair Stokes hit two goals apiece as Trowbridge Harriers defeated the Horse & Groom 7-2. John Baker was the other marksman as Dave Appleyard and Mark Williams replied.

DIVISION THREE

The top two teams had their games postponed, but the chasing pack failed to close the gap.

Third-placed Hare & Hounds were shocked by struggling Trowbridge Town Supporters Club 2-1, James Harman and Andy Pickernell winning it despite a Leigh Wells strike for Hounds.

Old Lane United allowed a lead to slip through their hands. Leading Potterne 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Luke Stoneham, United were undone by a Ben Giles equaliser.

Sir Audley's Arms left Melksham with two vital points as they claimed their first win in five a 3-2 success over Pig & Whistle United.

Pig led 2-1 through strikes from Leigh Stevenson and Steve Robinson Steve Mallard on target for Arms, before Kieron Smith and Steve Shipway sealed it.

Two goals apiece from Servet Aslan and Gordon Willshire, plus a single from Warren Jones, was good enough for Corsham Park Rangers to see off Bradstone Rovers 5-2, Scott Wood and Alan Eades replied.

DIVISION FOUR

King's Arms (Trowbridge) reclaimed top spot after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over stubborn Fascia Graphics.

Dean and Lee Murden netted the Arms' goals with Mark Smith pulling one back.

North Star B dented the hopes of another top-of-the-table side in their first outing in 2004.

The Calne-based team matched Virgin Mobile 1-1, taking the lead through a header from Ashley Lawrence. Virgin eventually levelled as Ian Standing tapped home.

Chris Sims put White Horse in front against third-placed FC Bradford, who hit back to win 5-1 as Jason Harford (3), Robin Walker and Jamie Duggan scored.

Bottom-placed Plough with only one win in their previous 14 games turned the form book on its head as they defeated Old Road Tavern 2-1.

Dave Thomas and Gary Taylor were the goal heroes, Andy Crayford bagging a consolation.

Bear Casuals recovered from an early Jamie Mullins goal for Rowde to claim a 3-1 victory with goals from Chris Bishop, Andy Sayer and Matty Gurke.

Pack Horse Rangers gained revenge over KSM for their earlier 5-1 defeat as they claimed a 5-1 win of their own.

Shahram Hematti, and doubles from Chris Ferris and Simon Reid won it as Dale Llewellyn put through his own net for KSM's strike.
