A BATTLING Queensfield brought Zurich's winning run to an end at the weekend.

An entertaining Premier Division game ended 3-3 which meant Zurich lost their 100 per cent record.

Queensfield went 2-0 ahead only for Zurich to hit back to lead 3-2. But Queensfield refused to lie down and grabbed a deserved equaliser.

Les Black, Jerry Ellis, and John McDonough scored for Queensfield, with Vince Merridith (2) and Craig Alexander replying.

Westwood also had a winning weekend when they beat County Ground 3-1. Eddie Gordon, Phil King and Rick Oliver scored for Westwood, with Danny Williams getting the County Ground goal.

Windmill's match against Ridgeway had to be abandoned towards the end when the score was Windmill 3 Ridgeway 4.

Division 1

Southbrook swamped Trailers 11-1. On target were Paul Parsons (4), David Heskett (2), Jamie Packer (2), Lewis Polden and Lee Johnson.

Woolworths beat South Marston 5-1, Phil New scoring for the losers. Deers Leap drew 1-1 with leaders Westlecott, Paul Venables scoring for the Leap and Steve White for Westlecott.

Barron Heating trounced Spectrum 8-0, and County Ground Reserves beat Blyskawica 4-1, with goals from Kev Taylor (2), Mark Smith and Wayne Palmer.

Division 2

THERE were goals aplenty in the Regent-Westwood Reserves clash, with Regent coming out on top 9-5. Regent's scorers were Gareth Davidson (3), Richard Plumb (2), Leon Jackson, Ross Kent, Michael Corcoran and Tom Sardo.

Green Baize drew 2-2 with Ramsbury, Martin Godden scoring both goals for the Baize. Nathan Harvey and Nick Woodward replying.

Manor beat Queenstown Reserves 3-1 thanks to goals from Grant Songhurst, Jay Day and James McCarthy.

An impressive Lower Stratton Reserves secured their first win of the season when they beat Gangsters 3-2. Gangsters scorers were Darren King and Craig Evendon.

The match between S&R Motors and Liden Puma was abandoned due to a player, Johnny White, breaking his leg.

Division 3

Bulldog crushed New Town 12-0. Richard Martin scored six, with Steven Holland (3), Craig Gibbs and John Prince also on the scoresheet.

Wroughton beat Woolworths Reserves 5-0 thanks to goals from Paul Bowden, Ian Lennon, Colin Hayne and James Toomey (2).

Shrivenham beat SPM 2-0, Dan Patterson and Chris Cox scoring.
