POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a 33-year-old Swindon Council worker was hit around the head in Covingham Square at about 5.20am on December 1.
The man was taken to Great Western Hospital suffering from head and back injuries, but released later the same day.
Swindon police spokeswoman, Alvina Kumar, said: "This nasty assault appears to be totally unprovoked and motiveless and we are renewing our appeal for witnesses."
