FORMER stunt man Victor Willis kept driving even after a police stinger shredded the tyres of his four-wheel drive jeep in a bizarre incident near Westbury.

The 49-year-old, from Broughton Gifford, was ordered to complete 100 hours community service and was banned from driving for a year, after a judge sentenced him for dangerous driving, at Swindon Crown Court on Monday.

A jury convicted Willis of dangerous driving at the end of October.

Sentencing was put off while the Crown Prosecution Service decided whether to prosecute the motorist with handling a stolen vehicle but the charge was dropped.
