DEFENDER Simon Charity believes his side have ten cup finals between now and the end of the season and the departure of chairman Malcolm Lyus will spur them on to do well.

"Malcolm going will be a spur for us because of what he did at the club. he wants us to do well still and we want to do it for him,'' he said.

Saturday's rough and tumble fixture is likely to be repeated every time Chippenham play now, says Charity.

"With the pitches being bobbly at this time of year you are not going to be beaten by pretty football. It is all about winning your individual battles and standing your ground.

"Grantham were a big side and we had to fight fire with fire. We are going to do that every game now,'' he said.

He was flying into tackles with no thought for the knee injury that sidelined him for three months. "You just don't think about it,'' he said. "I've had no reaction and it is just great to be out there playing.''
