PLANS to develop the abandoned Filands site in a linked scheme to build a new primary school at Tetbury Hill and pay off debt on the new comprehensive school at Corn Gastons will be decided upon next Thursday.
North Wiltshire District Council delayed its decision in October last year on the 140-house scheme for Filands until the plans for a new school and around 35 houses at Tetbury Hill, put forward by Wiltshire County Council, could be heard at the same time.
Malmesbury CofE Primary School head teacher and board of governors have both backed the scheme even at the cost of more houses.
