MID-WILTS YOUTH AND MINOR LEAGUE: WROUGHTON Juniors are on the brink of lifting the under 15s Red Division title in the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League.

They now need just one point from their remaining two games to win the championship following their 4-0 home win against Rowde Youth on Sunday.

Rowde gave a great team performance against a very strong Wroughton team, who led 3-0 at the break.

Rowde defended superbly in the second half limiting Wroughton to just one more goal to see them finish 4-0 winners. Dane Gooden (2), Lewis Howton and Michael Francis scored for Wroughton.

A disappointing lacklustre performance from Corsham lost them the match in the first half, allowing Calne to run away with the game by scoring seven goals.

An improved second half performance from Corsham limited Calne to two further goals. The Calne keeper made some good saves keeping Corsham out but by this time the game had already been won. Calne deserved the points winning by 9-0.

Durrington Rangers' recent good form came to a dramatic end in their home game against FC Chippenham.

Chippenham dominated the game from start to finish, taking a 5-0 lead at the break and running out 9-0 winners. Jamie Fyall (3), Daniel Clemence, Daniel Jackson, Stephan Klukowski, Robert Fillimore and Ryan Miller (2) scored for Chippenham.

Under 15s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE maintained their unbeaten record with a 6-0 away win over Chippenham Town Youth.

Under 16s Blue Division

A VERY close first half saw Chippenham Town Rangers take a 1-0 lead at the break in their away game against Amesbury Juniors.

Rangers dominated most of the play in the second half taking the game at 5-2 at the final whistle.

Under 16s Red Division

AFC CORSHAM took a 2-0 lead in their home game against Westbury Youth with Westbury coming back just before the break to make it 2-1.

The game was on a knife-edge and could have gone either but five minutes from time Corsham clinched the points with a late goal. Thomas Jones (2) and Steven Birch scored for Corsham.

Pewsey Vale held third place Devizes Town to a 0-0 score line at the interval but the second half was a different story. Devizes broke the deadlock then went on to win 5-0, with goals from Danny Lyons (2), Joe Unsworth, Ray King and Adam Grist.

Under 14s Green Division

IN a midtable clash it was honours even for home side Devizes Blues and Shaw and Whitley 2nds.

Marcus Rossi gave the Blues the lead within five minutes of the kick off. Shaw levelled before James Muir regained the lead for the home side.

Before the break Shaw brought the game level for the second time. The second half was end to end and a very entertaining game for the spectators, but despite chances on goal from both sides neither managed to score and the game ended at 2-2.

Under 14s Red Division

PEWSEY Vale defended well against home side Trowbridge Town Youth 2nds keeping a clean sheet and finding the target themselves three times to finish 3-0 winners.

Amesbury Juniors remain third, four points behind the leaders with two games in hand following their 5-3 away win against Chippenham Town Youth.

David Brown (2) and Tom Blacksley scored for Chippenham.

Under 13s Green Division

HOME side Bromham held leaders Warminster Highbury to a 0-0 score line at the break but within three minutes of the restart Highbury were ahead with a goal from Chris Haggerty.

Bromham replied within minutes through Wayne House and the game continued to be very close. Josh Lewis regained the lead for the visitors with a superbly taken free kick from 20 yards. Quality passing football continued with Bromham pushing forward but two quick breaks and two goals from Sam Dufosee sealed the victory for Highbury at 4-1.

Under 13s Red Division

AFC CORSHAM moved six points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand over nearest rivals Amesbury Juniors, following their 6-2 away win against Castle Combe Colts 2nds.

Under 12s Blue Division

KIEREN Chivers gave home side Devizes Town Youth a half time 1-0 lead in their game against FC Chippenham.

Giles levelled before Flynn made it 2-1 for Chippenham's ninth win of the season.

AFC Corsham struggled to get into their home game against Trowbridge Town Youth which saw the visitors take a 4-0 half time lead before going on to finish 11-0 winners.

Leaders Trowbridge Wanderers took the lead through Declan Harrison in their away game against Castle Combe Colts with the game level before the break at 1-1 with a goal from Matthew Harding.

Wanderers knew that a win would secure the championship title for them despite having four more games to play. Midway through the second half Ryan Spong regained the lead for Wanderers and with a late second goal for Harrison the points and this season's title was secured.

A midtable clash brought together home side Chippenham Town Youth and Warminster Highbury. Chippenham took a 2-0 half time lead before repeating their performance in the second half to finish 4-0 winners.

Under 12s Red Division

JORDAN Smith scored for Warminster United Youth in their away game against Calne Town Youth which saw Calne run out 5-1 winners.

Jack Ibbetson (2), Rowan Phelps, Josh Stanley and Elliot Humphreys scored for FC Chippenham in their 5-1 home win against AFC Corsham.

Trowbridge Wanderers remain in second place, three points behind leaders Calne with a game in hand, following their narrow 1-0 home win against Melksham Park. Aaron Fyler scored the goal.

Under 11s Blue Division

MELKSHAM Park continue to dominate this division following their 2-1 home win against Calne Town Youth.

Under 11s Green Division

DEVIZES Town Youth came from behind to win their home game against Trowbridge Town Youth Blue.

Trowbridge made the brighter start and took the lead after ten minutes through Jordan De Silva. A good through ball and a clinical finish from Tayler Worthy put Devizes back in the game and with three minutes of the first half remaining Devizes took the lead with a goal from Shea D'arcy.

The second half saw a better performance from Devizes and a stunning long range effort from Glynn Rowles was the pick of the game. Daniel Case was man of the match for Devizes.

Under 11s Red Division

BRADFORD on Avon made it five wins out of five in their home game against FC Chippenham.

Early pressure from Chippenham led to them hitting both the post and the crossbar in the first ten minutes.

The teams were well matched but Bradford gradually took control by scoring just before half-time with a goal from Alex Palmer. Another goal in the second half by Alfie Wells resulted in another win for Bradford.

Chippenham Town Youth drew level on points in third place behind FC Chippenham following their 5-0 home win against Devizes Town Youth. Alex Jenkins (2), Chris Newth, Daniel Payne and Ciaran Stewart scored the goals.

Under 11s Yellow Division

FC CHIPPENHAM won their second game of the season by running out 3-2 away winners against Chippenham Town Rangers. William Stevens (2) and Ryan Strudwick scored for FC.

Under Nines Red Division

CHIPPENHAM Town Rangers and Castle Combe Colts played a very entertaining and even game.

With the score at 1-1 and one minute left to play the Chippenham keeper saved a shot from the spot to keep the game level and for the teams to share the spoils.
