THE commander of Wiltshire St John Ambulance has announced he will be retiring from the post next year.
Lt Col John Jago, who lives in Shrewton, has held the post for eight years and will retire on June 24, 2005.
The commander is the principal volunteer for the county and the organisation is looking for a replacement.
Anna Farquhar, executive officer of Wiltshire St John Ambulance, said: "We need someone capable of developing our county strategy, business plan and budget with national policies as well as attending events across the county to promote our organisation."
