CONTRARY to a report in last week's Gazette & Herald we have been
informed that a charge of causing death by dangerous driving against Peter Huntley, of Blackberry Lane, Potterne, has been dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service.
Huntley, 19, has now been charged with careless driving relating to an
incident on April 26 at Spin Hill, Market Lavington, following which a passenger in another car, Sharon Oliver, who was 34, and of Stirling Road, Market Lavington, died.
Huntley is due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on March 15.
