TOMMY SAUNDERS' three-pronged attack reaped some reward last night as his Supermarine side's 2-2 home draw with lowly Cinderford stemmed a six-game losing streak.

Marine were on course for a second Dr Martens Western Division win since Saunders' arrival in January when captain Giles Harris netted after 25 minutes.

Cinderford keeper Andy Fisher flapped at Simon Futcher's wicked right-wing corner and Harris smashed home a first-time effort from 15 yards.

Saunders men looked in complete control for the next 10 minutes before Cinderford star man Daryl Addis levelled with a goal out of nothing unleashing a low 20-yard drive which skipped off the greasy playing surface and beyond Tom King.

Marine were hit with another sucker punch before the interval when Jimmy Carter had a decent penalty appeal turned down and the visitors broke immediately.

Simon Trueman raced clear down the right flank, cut inside, and unleashed a clinical angled strike inside the far post.

But Marine salvaged their first point since January 21 on the hour mark.

Harris was again in the thick of it, as his goal-bound effort deflected off of Justin Miller and deceived Fisher.

Highworth also drew 2-2 in their Hellenic Premier Division trip to Tuffley Rovers.

The hosts took the lead early in the second half but John Fisher's understrength side faced with last-minute withdrawals from Ian McSherry and Richard Knox hit back to move 2-1 up.

Tony Joyce and veteran Paul Hunt put Highworth in the ascendancy but Tuffley levelled with 10 minutes to go to put another dent in the Swindon outfit's fading championship dream.

Elsewhere in the top flight, Fairford triumphed 2-1 at Gloucester United.
