GAZETTE & HERALD: Chippenham Town Council handed out nearly £3,000 in grants to local community projects, including a £,1000 award to Chippenham's popular annual folk festival.
The grants were agreed at a meeting of the Strategy and Resources Committee meeting on February 18.
Other beneficiaries were Cruse Bereavement Care, receiving £250, the Winged Fellowship Trust, £229, Chippenham Arts Festival £800, the Fantasis Flute Ensemble £200 and North Wiltshire Youth Band £500.
Further applications for grants and donations will be considered by the committee in September.
