Frisby regained the lead for his side, only for Tony Greenidge to hit a late equaliser for Cannings, who won 5-4 on spot-kicks as Oram, Stuart Beavan, Collier, Bobby Wadcock and Greenidge netted, Lee Ovans missing for Wingfield.

Old Lane United progressed to the next round 3-1 at the expense of fellow Third Division side Corsham Park Rangers.

PREMIER DIVISION

Sherston Town ended a four-week wait to be crowned champions as they disposed of Bradford News with a crushing 8-2 victory.

Alan Webb (4), Lee Bevis, Ed Wilkins, Richard Lester and Antony Vizard scored as Charlie Powell and John Burt replied.

DIVISION ONE

Things stayed the same as the rain prevented Maud Heath Sports from closing the gap to leaders Biddestone Social after their clash with in-form Horse & Groom was lost to waterlogged pitches.

DIVISION TWO

Third-placed Holt FC took full advantage of the cup commitments of leaders Corsham Centre and North Star A to leapfrog the Star and claim second spot.

They defeated bottom-of-the-table Roadrunners 4-1, Tom Pang taking his tally for the season to 40 with two, Neil Grant and Dave Greenwood adding the others. Adam Stevens scored Roadrunners' consolation.

Steeple Ashton returned to winning ways as they defeated Sutton Benger 3-0, Brin Holt, Adam Sheppard and Mark Sheppard on the mark.

DIVISION THREE

The last time Bradstone Rovers and Trowbridge Town Supporters Club prevailed 5-0 against Bradstone Rovers, Chris Sims' first league goal being followed by Gavin Targett, two from Nick Buckle plus one from Simon Hussey.

Chris Shipway's first goal in three years set Sir Audley's Arms on their way to a 4-2 win over Westbury Rangers B.

Shipway's first half effort was cancelled out by Shane Rendell's early second-half equalizer.

But James McLaughlin regained the lead for the Arms only for Rangers to level again through Sam Tucker.

McLaughlin's second and Steve Mallard's strike made the game safe.

DIVISION FOUR

Virgin Mobile maintained their push for second spot with a narrow 3-2 victory over Plough, Alex Huscroft, Chris Maskrey and Dan Light's goals being enough despite replies from Dave Thomas and Ben Olding.

At the foot of the table KSM took the lead against Rowde via John Little, but were unable to hold on as John Stockman and Martin Robinson clinched a 2-1 victory.
