The top two go marching on, both Amesbury Sports and Lydiard Youth securing emphatic wins at Liden and Purton respectively.

Amesbury Sports proved too strong for Liden on a cold blustery day at Wroughton, winning 14-1 and securing another three vital points and maintaining their lead at the top.

They opened their account on five minutes with a Harvey Coker penalty which the keeper saved but couldn't stop Coker following up to score from the rebound.

Callum Coker added the second after a great cross from Steven Holvey. Harvey Coker made it 3-0 on 15 minutes with a tremendous near post header from Lloyd Barr's corner.

Tom Plant made it 4-0 with a cracking 20-yarder into the top corner. Steven Holvey made it 5-0 with another cracking finish from the edge of the box and Callum Coker got a sixth just before half-time.

Amesbury then dominated the second half with Callum Coker taking his tally to five, Tom Plant grabbing another 20-yarder. Sam Aldridge, Shaun Dixon and Lloyd Barr all scoring one a piece, and then a rare goal from Sam Dando, a great volley from the edge of the box.

Liden battled to the final whistle and deservedly grabbed a late consolation goal that was well finished from just outside the box by Grant Davies.

Lydiard Youth won 12-1 against a spirited Purton side at Bradon Forest. Former Purton player Dale Crabbe led the way with five goals and there was one each for Andy Butt, Will Grier, Chris Aubrey, Dean Hall, Chris Spink and Andy Hitchcock, plus an own goal. Stratton Juniors went ahead after 10 minutes of the second half through Jordan Clark. The Stratton keeper then made a fine save from a Chris Walker drive and this proved to be the turning point as Stratton quickley added two more goals through Jamie Fennell and Matthew Leonard. A fourth goal from Matt McGuiness just before the end completed the scoring.

Kousuke (Dick) Sasaki was making his farewell appearance for Blunsdon before his family returns to Japan. He gave his usual wholehearted performance but could not add to his season's tally of 23 goals.

He did however take the Blunsdon player of the season award to mark an outstanding season.

8-0 win at Highworth Juniors, scoring six times. Lee Scott weighed in with two further goals.

Against the strong wind in the first half Croft battled well and took the lead through a Philip Jones strike. The second came soon after from an in-form James Kearns.

Stratton battled well and finally beat the Croft defence five minutes before half-time through a Darren Jefferies' shot.

With the wind in Croft's favour in the second half it was hard work for Stratton, but they kept looking for the equaliser.

Some excellent passing from Croft saw another two goals to make the final score 4-1, both scored by Mark Jones.
