YOUTH FOOTBALL:WESTBURY Youth kept their championship hopes intact with a magnificent home win over previously unbeaten Trowbridge Town Youth in the under 15s Blue Division of the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League.

With the wind with them in the first half Westbury put wave upon wave of attack on the Trowbridge goal but with good defending and poor finishing the teams went in all square at half time at 0-0.

Mike Perret opened the scoring for Trowbridge early in the second half, putting Westbury under pressure and with a string of great saves from Luke Mayne.

A triple substitution by Westbury saw an immediate result with Dave Thompson poking in the equaliser and Matthew Smith scoring the winner just five minutes later.

Westbury goalkeeper Nathen Tayler then pulled off two great saves, keeping Westbury ahead until the final whistle to see them go top of the division.

A very understrength Trowbridge Wanderers ran out with just eight men in their away game against Devizes Town Youth and lost 8-0. Dan Sloane (3), Jamie Selby (2), Pat Preece, Ashley Grover and Jamie Lawrence scored for Devizes.

Under 15s Red Division

WARMINSTER Highbury took a 03-2 half-time lead in their home game against Durrington Rangers.

Rangers used the wind to their advantage in the second half, denying Highbury and scoring a further two to finish 4-3 winners. Matthew Palframan (2) and Anthony Hotine scored for Highbury.

FC Chippenham strengthened their hopes for runners-up slot with a 5-0 home win against Lavington Bandits. Daniel Clements (3) and Stefan Klukowski (2) scored for Chippenham.

Under 16s Blue Division

BEMERTON Heath Harlequins intensified the pressure on leaders Trowbridge Town Youth by running out 7-0 winners at home to Bath Arsenal.

Bemerton's goals came from Joe Sanger (4), Marvin Brown, Jack Slade and Matthew Cox.

Trowbridge Town Youth took a 2-0 lead at the break in their away game against AFC Corsham United, increasing it to 3-0 early in the second half.

Corsham got one back before Trowbridge sealed their win with a fourth to finish 4-1 winners.

Under 16s Red Division

WARMINSTER Highbury need two points from their last two games to win the title following their 2-1 win away to AFC Corsham.

Liam Reed and Sam Landry scored for Highbury.

Under 14s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Town Youth won the title without kicking a ball.

Chippenham Town Youth needed to win their last game by six clear goals against rivals FC Chippenham to pip Trowbridge for the title, but fell two goals short.

Both sides struggled with the bad weather on a heavy pitch but Chippenham Town took the lead in the first half at 1-0.

The second half saw a determined Chippenham Town but at the final whistle they had failed in their mission with only a 4-1 final score to see them finish this season's runners-up.

Liam Brown (2), Ross McCance and Thomas Ingell scored for Chippenham Town Youth.

Trowbridge Town Youth and Chippenham Town Youth have been rivals for the title all season, with Trowbridge winning by virtue of a goal difference of 46 to their rivals' 44,

Trowbridge are also through to the league cup final.

Under 14s Green Division

AMESBURY Juniors move a step closer to finishing runners-up in this division with a 2-0 away win against Shaw and Whitley in their penultimate game.

Under 13s Blue Division

JACK Gentle had a hand in all Amesbury goals in their 9-0 away win against Castle Combe Colts.

With defeats for their nearest rivals Amesbury now move two points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand. Amesbury's goals came from Chris Fower (6), Tom Williams, Scott Atkins and one for Gentle.

Last week's leaders Trowbridge Wanderers went down in a surprise defeat away to Chippenham Town Youth. Wanderers took a 1-0 lead at the break but a second half hat-trick for Zak Klukowski and one for Lee Hunt saw the points go Chippenham's way with a 4-1 final score.

Third-placed Salisbury Juniors also dented their championship hopes in another surprise defeat away to Trowbridge Town Youth. Trowbridge took a 2-1 half-time lead then secured their win with a third in the second half to finish 3-1 winners. Tom Bonser and Danny Talbot (2) scored for Trowbridge.

Under 12s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers ran out 13-0 winners in their penultimate game of the season away to Amesbury Juniors.

Wanderers' goals came from Skip Ayoub, Ryan Spong (2), Joe Stradling and nine from Declan Harrison.

Substitute goalkeeper Ryan Kubilius was caught napping for Chippenham Town Youth when Devizes took the lead within the first 10 seconds. Kubilius redeemed himself with an outstanding performance denying Devizes further goals and seeing his side take the game at 6-1. Elliott Corp (2), Luke Dibley, Ben Antheney (2) and Callum Smith scored for Chippenham.

Under 12s Red Division

WESTBURY gave their best performance of the season to spring a surprise on Trowbridge Wanderers.

Westbury started the game with a very blustery wind at their backs and from the start they applied pressure to Wanderers and made some early chances.

One such opening saw a beautiful curling shot from Kye Oxley come back off the post. Eventually, the pressure forced Wanderers into mistakes and in the 22nd minute they conceded a penalty. Jack Coxall calmly stepped up and made it 1-0.

With the wind in their faces in the second half Westbury were expecting to have to work hard to maintain their lead and Wanderers started to look more threatening, but the Westbury defence stood firm.

Sam Ladd made a great run down the left wing sending a cross into the six yard box which eventually came off a Wanderers defender and into the net.

As the half wore on Westbury grew in confidence, defending stoutly and continuing to make chances.

Late in the game, following a goal-mouth scramble, the ball came lose for Sam Reeves to tap in to make it

3-0. In the dying minutes Jonny Tribick went on a solo run, went past the goalkeeper and knocked the ball into an empty net to finish the game at 4-0 to Westbury.

Under 11s Blue Division

TROWBRIDGE Town Youth Reds adapted to the wind and heavy pitch better than visitors AFC Corsham but it still took them until midway through the half to take the lead.

Bradley Whitam picked up the ball on the edge of the area, moved in and chipped the keeper. Trowbridge quickly doubled their lead after a cross was slotted home by Jordan-Lee Gullis.

Early in the second half Otis Young made it 3-0, then Trowbridge eased off and let Corsham back in with a well taken goal from Jordan Murphy. Trowbridge dug in and held on to their 3-1 until the final whistle. The game was marshalled well by man-of-the-match Josh Batstone.

Under 11s Green Division

SHAW and Whitley took a 3-1 lead at the break in their home game against Westbury Youth, but Westbury brought the game level at 3-3 at the final whistle to salvage a point.

Jordan Kirk (2) and Jonathan Cox scored for Shaw with Jake Ross, Flynn Precup and DJ Wheeler replying for Westbury.

Under 11s Red Division

BRADFORD on Avon and visitors Pewsey Vale battled with driving rain and gale force winds in their fixture.

Bradford played with the wind in their favour in the first half going in 2-0 up at the break with goals from Tom Hyde and Alex Palmer. Bradford defended well in the second half to hold on to their 2-0 lead.

In another wind-affected game FC Chippenham took a 5-1 lead at the break against rivals Chippenham Town Youth.

FC held on to their lead until 10 minutes from time and thought the points were in the bag when Chippenham Town got back into the game and then scored three further goals to finish all square at 5-5. Chippenham Town Youth's goals came from Ryan Armstrong, Michael Brewer, Alex Jenkins and Daniel Payne (2).

Melksham Park won their first game since January, running out 1-0 winners at Devizes Town Youth.

Under 11s Yellow Division

CASTLE Combe extended their lead at the top of the table to nine points following their home game against FC Chippenham.

Castle Combe took the lead in the first five minutes, going on to lead 3-0 at half-time.

FC Chippenham did not really trouble Castle Come in the first half but came out in the second half full of fight and scored twice. Castle Combe replied twice more to regain their three goal lead, finishing 5-2 winners. Will Stevens scored both goals for FC Chippenham.

Derry Hill Boys won their first away game in two months by running out 5-3 victors at Westbury Youth.

Westbury played with the wind in their favour in the first half, taking a 3-1 lead at half-time. Derry Hill capitalised in the second period to win

5-3. Matthew Calloway and Ashley Gardiner (2) scored for Westbury.

Under 10s Blue Division

AARON Patrick scored for Trowbridge Town Youth in their 1-1 draw against visitors AFC Corsham Jaguars.
