DEVIZES travel to Odd Down without a manager tomorrow following the resignation of player-boss Dave Hopkins.

The 31-year-old stood down this week citing mass apathy from the club's board, players and fans as the reason for his departure.

"Some of the players lost their commitment and we didn't get any commitment from fans," said Hopkins, who took charge of Devizes in the summer following the departure of former chairman Chris Belcher.

"The committee wasn't committed enough on the budgets for me and I felt it was the right thing to do to leave and concentrate on my football."

Hopkins will continue to play elsewhere after severing his links to the club and is set to turn out for Pewsey Vale in their Hellenic League clash with Bishops Cleeve tomorrow.

Assistant Sean Moffatt has taken temporary charge for the the Premier Division trip which pits the Nursteed Road outfit against their former captain Brad Newman who recently signed for the Bath side.

Elsewhere in the top flight, Melksham travel to Frome.

Calne and Corsham are without fixtures in the First Division.
