IS it just me or is there anyone else who thinks we live in a town of small minded hypercritical, nimbys and whingers?
In the Advertiser we read the residents of Abbey Meads move in then petition to stop Swindon Speedway it's only been there 80 years.
The residents of Sparcells object to the sports complex.
How do they think the people of Shaw and Lydiard Millicent felt when they lost their whole village?
What do they think was on the land that they live on prior to their houses?
Then we have the development of the PMH site. Residents don't want the entrance in Okus Road, or off Westlecott Road and can you knock down a multi storey building without dust?
If this town is to become a city we need development worthy of the city status. Let the town develop and be proud to be part of it.
