MRSA infection in hospitals has been big news for the last few years. Where was it hiding previously? Or is it a recent discovery?

It has been suggested that patients should ask doctors if they have washed their hands.

I would have thought the "class barrier" would prevent NHS patients from doing that.

The doctors are still "kings" or even "queens" in hospitals. It's a separate question as to whether that is good or bad.

I was in two major hospitals a couple of years ago. They seemed pretty clean to me but I'm not house proud.

They treated me like a king.
