A SWINDON coach company will step up security to prevent a repeat of an attack which caused £15,000 of damage.

Bosses at Phoenix Coaches are planning to install CCTV cameras at their Marshgate Trading depot to help keep vandals away.

During an early morning attack last month, thugs smashed all the windows on three of their five private hire vehicles.

Manager Paul Ratcliffe, who has been sleeping out at the site in a bid to stop it happening again, admits the identity of the vandals remains a mystery.

Shortly after the attack on September 20, Mr Ratcliffe told the Advertiser he believed the wrecking spree was racially motivated as the buses targeted are used to take ethnic minorities to work.

A police investigation has been launched but no arrests have been made.
