SOLIHULL assistant manger Robin Judd thinks marking James Constable will be his side's priority as they look forward to the visit of Chippenham on Saturday.

The Bluebirds beat Solihull 2-1 in their first encounter this season, with Constable grabbing both the goals.

Judd said: "Constable was the main threat to us in the last game. He got both of Chippenham's goals and we will definitely be keeping a close eye on him for this game.

"We have been unlucky in some of our games, that included the one against Chippenham. I thought that the last game was worthy of a draw."

The team from Birmingham have not had a good start to the season and have lost their last four out of five matches and lie second from bottom in the Southern Premier Division.

They did get a much needed win two Saturdays ago when they beat Gloucester City 1-0 and Judd hopes that his team have now turned a corner.

He said: "This win has given the team a lot more confidence and we hope to use this result as a spring board to lift our season.

"If we can take a point from the Chippenham game we will be happy. We need to avoid defeat at all costs in that match."

The assistant thinks that their league position does not reflect the club's performances.

He said: "We can play attractive football. Going from the last game, both teams play the ball on the floor and that led to a close exciting game. I'm sure this one will be no different."

Judd might be missing two important first team players from the game. Central defender Adam Cooper has a slight thigh strain and is doubtful for Saturday, but they will definitely be missing ex-Aston Villa and Northampton midfielder Guy Hadland as he has a badly injured ankle.

Striker Mark Shepherd equalised for Solihull against Chippenham at Hardenhuish Park in August and will be looking to add to his goal tally of four so far this season.

Chippenham will also have to look out for midfielder Dean Peer. He has 120 league appearances for Birmingham City under his belt along with a handful of appearances for Walsall and Northampton Town.

Solihull will be well rested before the game as they did not play in the FA Cup last Saturday after being knocked out by Leek Town 1-0 in the previous round.
