STAFF at NatWest's Salisbury branch are celebrating the fact that, according to their customers, they are tops for customer service.

More than 20 customers took the time to submit a nomination form to the bank, recognising the service that the team at the branch has given them.

It resulted in the branch achieving the bank's gold service award. Jim Feest, NatWest's area manager retail banking, visited the branch to present the team with a certificate and some Ovations awards, which can be exchanged for a variety of high street vouchers.

Mr Feest said: "I'm delighted that all the effort that the Salisbury team makes has been recognised by the customers. We want our customers to know that service means a lot to us and this recognition scheme is one way of doing this."

Vicki Godfrey, deputy branch manager, said: "We're delighted to receive this award and would like to say a big thank you to the customers who nominated us.

"When you work so hard to deliver a quality service it's great to receive an award from the bank, but it means so much more because it's our customers' comments that have put us in the number one spot."
