Delia Hembury and Liz Paddock were representing the chamber, while city centre manager Lindsey Brown was there with her new assistant, Claire Usher.
Chamber of Commerce president Andrew Hodder said: "The outstanding contribution to the success of Expo was made by Delia and Liz.
"Without their hard work this event would never have got off the ground, let alone be the success it has proved to be.
"They are worth their weight in gold."
He added that half the people exhibiting at this year's Expo wanted to re-book straight away for next year.
He also paid tribute to the city centre management team for organising last month's food fair.
"We now have two good quality events in the autumn, so there is plenty to look forward to when you return from your summer holidays," he said.
