14287/2KENNET Citizens' Advice Bureau volunteer Laura Naylor has won a national award for research she has done on helping young people with learning difficulties and mental health problems.
Miss Naylor, 22, who lives in a village near Devizes, has been an unpaid volunteer at the CAB based in Devizes for a year after she graduated from Plymouth University with a sociology degree.
As well as being an advisor to the public she has done research with local youth projects and is developing ways of liaising with local schools on projects like financial literacy as well as working with young people with mental health problems and learning difficulties.
Miss Naylor, who is now a qualified advisor and hopes to get a paid job, won the Young Volunteer category of the Citizens' Advice Volunteer of the Year Award 2004.
