A MAN was hit by a bus in Gorse Hill.
The accident happened in Cricklade Road around 5.15pm on Tuesday and caused long delays.
The 37-year-old Worcester man was in Swindon for the day on business.
The bus was pulling off from the side of the road from behind a parked car.
The man was knocked out by the collision and was taken to the Great Western Hospital.
He suffered minor injuries and was kept in for a few hours for observation but was later released.
Insp Ian Stevenson of Swindon police said: "Because the accident happened during rush hour, traffic delays were worse than they might have been at other times of the day."
Traffic was flowing smoothly again by 7pm.
