GAZETTE & HERALD: A Chippenham man is facing the prospect of a jail term after pleading guilty to being involved in supplying class A drugs.

Russell Bond admitted his part in supplying ecstasy and cannabis when he appeared before a judge at Swindon crown court.

The 21-year-old was found with the drugs when police searched his Pewsham home in July this year.

Mike Pulsford, defending, said that the drugs had been brought there by another person who his client had named to police.

He said that Bond was looking after the drugs for the other person until he was told what to do with them.

"There was no financial gain, merely the payment for his own drug habit which has been admitted," he said.

Bond, of Waters Edge, Pewsham, Chippenham, admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis and ecstasy between January 1 and July 8 this year.

Mr Pulsford said that his client had no previous convictions apart from drink driving matters.

Bond was released on bail on condition he lives at his home address, observes a night time curfew so pre-sentence reports can be compiled by the probation service.
