MAGISTRATES banned Leigh Brydon from the roads after hearing he was more than twice the legal drink drive limit when police stopped his Honda Civic in Cranmore Avenue.

Brydon, 38, of Netherton Close, Park South, admitted driving with excess alcohol and was disqualified for 20 months.

Tests showed a level of 78 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath, but the legal limit is 35.

The bench also fined him £250 and ordered him to pay £34 court costs.
