Mick LoveA MAN has been charged with the murder of father-of-two Mick Love.
Colin Lewin, of Broad Street, is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning, two weeks after Mr Love, pictured above, was found dead in Cannon Street.
The 34-year-old's arrest comes after an intensive police investigation involving more than 50 officers.
Several Swindon addresses were searched last week and more than 400 house-to-house inquiries were made in a bid to gather clues.
The charge comes after police released two other men they had been quizzing over the murder.
Mr Love, 40, of Prospect Place, was stabbed to death after a night out with friends.
His body was found in Old Town at 5.19am on Monday September 27.
Messages of condolence have flooded in for the punk rock fan and floral tributes have been left at the murder scene.
The two-week investigation involved a poster campaign and a letter drop.
Mr Love, who grew up in Old Town and attended the Commonweal School, married Karen, and they have two children, Aimee and Callum.
Beginning their married life in Cheney Manor Road Mick and Karen later moved to Church Walk North. And after the couple split up they remained friends and Mr Love moved in to Prospect Place with his girlfriend Cherie.
