The Greenbridge Public house in Stratton has been sold to the JD Wetherspoon chain.
Once the Pressed Steel Social Club, It will become part of JD Wetherspoon's Lloyds No 1 brand.
The plan is for the Greenbridge to close on October 18 and reopen on November 28.
It is not yet known whether the pub will keep its current name but Wetherspoons plans to change the existing lay out.
