A golf captain will swim a distance equivalent to the length of a Wootton Bassett golf course to raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Tiny Spears, captain of the Wiltshire Golf and Country Club, will swim 3.7 miles tomorrow. His effort, which will be made in the club pool, will total 331 lengths and take about two and a half hours.
Mr Spears, who hands over the captaincy to Steve Mitchell the following day, hopes to raise several hundred pounds.
