I have written to Boris Johnson of The Spectator to suggest that while he is touring the country making visits of apology, he might like to add Devizes to his itinerary so that he can personally make some apologies here too for publishing that extraordinary rubbishing of the town by David
Lovibond that caused so many of us pain this time last year. I'll be glad to pass on his reply when it comes, but don't hold your breath!
