Chippenham maintained their play-off push with a 14-3 win over Swanage & Wareham in Saturday's South West Division 2 East match at their Allington Field ground.
With Reading Abbey having already won the title, Chippenham knew they had to win to stay in pursuit of a play-off place.
The home side weathered some early pressure before scoring their first try though Karl Parry-Curtis, converted by scrum-half Andy Williamson.
Chippenham's second try came from another flowing backs move with Grant Trewartha getting the touchdown and Williamson again converting for a 14-0 half-time lead.
Swanage responded with a penalty in an eagerly contested second half, which saw Parry-Curtis have a second try disallowed for a forward pass.
