THIEVES broke into the University of Bath in Swindon campus and made off with two laptop computers and a digital projector in a lunchtime theft.
Swindon police are now appealing for witnesses to the burglary in Marlowe Avenue, Walcot, on Friday, March 25.
At around 1.30 pm the intruders broke in by smashing a fire door at the rear of the building.
Once inside they forced three security doors to get to the computer equipment.
PC Leighton Williams said: "If any witnesses saw a vehicle, or persons loitering or acting suspiciously around the grounds of the campus, would they please contact Swindon police."
Anyone with information should telephone 01793 528111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
