POLICE are re-appealing for witnesses to an arson attack on public toilets in John Street in January.
Damage to The Parade toilets has been estimated at £55,000.
The vandalism has forced Swindon Council to remove and replace all 18 toilet blocks, repair the ceilings in the women's toilet, replace three baby change areas, replace all the floor coverings and conduct a full steam clean and redecoration.
Police are appealing again for witnesses to the crime to come forward. The attack happened on January 31 at 5.30pm.
Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously near the toilets can contact PC Williams of Swindon police on 01793 528111.
A spokesman for the police said: "If somebody saw anyone acting suspiciously or loitering around the exits of the car park or the one near Gregg's, opposite Fleming Way, they should ."
